July SLP Link up

Laura from All Y’all Need (formally Oh, How Pintearesting!) has started another SLP link up for July. Here is what is happening in my world this month.

JUST – I am enjoying summer break. Each summer becomes more enjoyable as my daughter gets older (she is 4 now). We bought season passes for the family to a local zoo (Wilson’s Wild Animal Park). She loves feeding the deer and goats. Yesterday we saw the five baby piglets that were born two days ago. SO CUTE!!

USING – Since the disappearance of Google Reader, I am using Bloglovin’ to keep up to date with all of my favorite app and SLP blogs. I tried Feedly and Flipboard but have found Bloglovin’ to be the easiest to load and add my favorites. Here is a link so you can follow The Speech Place on Bloglovin’.

LOVING – I LOVE the month of July!! The first reason is this month is full of celebrations for important people in my life. Many of my friends and relatives were born this month, my parents celebrate their anniversary this month, and most importantly I celebrate my birthday this month (on the 20th). Another reason I love this month is that I get to spend a whole month with my family without working. I can sleep in, spend time with family and friends, and just do whatever we want.

YUMMY – With the hot July temperatures here in WV I need to cool off in the evenings. Lately I have been enjoying vanilla ice cream with fresh fruit. I have got some delicious peaches and strawberries at the market lately. I just cut them up over ice cream. It is delicious!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation without sunburns or bug bites. Thanks again to Laura for the July SLP Link up.

  1. Aren’t baby pigs the cutest? I’m sure your daughter is precious, 4 is a fun age. Sounds like you are having a wonderful summer! Thanks for linking up!

The zoo you go to sounds like something my little one would love! We don’t have a local zoo,but have spent quite a bit of time at farms feeding and playing with baby animals!

  5. I also prefer Bloglovin’ to the other options! I also love fresh fruit. We found some great stuff at the farmer’s market the other day. I should try them on ice cream! 🙂

  6. Fresh fruit’s a summer favorite for me as well! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
